Party of Two by Jasmine Guillory- Book Review

I absolutely loved this book! I loved the characters, the chemistry and the wittiness! I couldn’t finish it fast enough and at the same time I didn’t want it to end! This book also give you some yummy visions of cake while you read which is always a plus! This was the last book I read in May and it’s was a perfect ending to my rom com month. This book was just published June 23rd and is the perfect go to summer rom com! You will not regret reading this one and I promiss it will put a smile on your face! I give this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Author Highlight- Megan Miranda

Megan Miranda has some of my favorite thrillers to read during summer time. The characters are relatable and the stories always have so many great twist and turns! Thankfully I got into her books a little later than others so now I have a few more books of her that I haven’t read yet but are on my tbr list. She also has a new thriller called The Girl from Widow Hills which I read earlier this and will be published June 23 and it’s a must read! You seriously can’t go wrong with any of her books! So far my favorite of hers in The Last House Guest, it’s the perfect summer suspense book.

Pet Sematary by Stephen King- Book Review

Finished this book in the wee hours of the night last night. This has got to be the scariest Stephen King book I’ve read so far. The last quarter of the book had me extremely frightened and arguing with the characters actions. 😂 I really liked the characters, especially Jud. He was my favorite in this story. I do think the Pet Sematary movie made in the 80s did a great job sticking to the book. If you want a great horror/thriller book to read than read this one! Warning you may get scared reading this in the dark but that’s part of the thrill. It’s not as long as some of his other novels and it’s also fast paced. I give this book 5⭐️.

The River at Night by Erica Ferencik- Book Review

This was my first book that I read by @ericaferencik and I devoured it in two nights. I literally could stop reading and wanting to know how the story was going to end. This book was fast paced, relatable character and will keep you guessing! It’s not incredible deep but it give you just enough thrill and suspense that makes cheer the characters on this incredible girls weekend adventure. If you are looking for a fast paced book that you can able to read within a weekend then I highly recommend this one. I enjoyed this one so much that I just purchased her other book Into the Jungle. I give this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫.

Let Talk About Difficult Reads

Let’s talk about a book that was difficult for you to read. I read this book last year and have seen so many mixed reviews on it. I thought it would open up a good discussion about books that make you feel uncomfortable but you end up appreciating. I enjoyed this one and thought it was a beautifully written story, there were moments where I had to put it down because I had a difficult time dealing with the relationship between a child and a grown man. It was extremely raw and emotional on so many levels. I’m so glad I finished it and thought it was written and told perfectly. This was book that I couldn’t stop thinking about for weeks after reading.

Little Disasters BY Sarah Vaughan- Book Review

This is the first book I’ve read by @svaughanauthorand I absolutely loved it. It was fast paced and the characters were super easy to connect with. I also loved that this book touched on Postpartum Depression which is something that needs to be more talked about. It shared a raw perspective of Postpartum Depression and how easy it is to over look the struggles because you only choose to see what’s on the outside of someone’s daily life. The book was so captivating and the ending was a surprise that I didn’t expect. I can’t speak highly enough of this book and all the twist and turns of it. It is a must read suspense book! What You Wish For By Katherine Center- Book Review

Thank you to #partner @stmartinspress for gifting me this book! I need a little pep in my year so I’m only reading rom coms in this month and I started the month with this one. Once again @katherinecenter has written a marvelous book with charming characters and a storyline that has a lot of meaning in it. This book made me cry and laugh out loud and I couldn’t put it down. It’s definitely a book to add to your tbr list and put it at the top of the pile. Warning that it does touch on gun violence in schools. This great book will be out July 14th. I give this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫.

The Wife Who Knew Too Much by Michelle Campbell- Book Review

Thank you to #partner @stmartinspress for gifting me this book. This is my first read by Michele Campbell. I started her book The Stranger on the Beach but never finished it. 😬 This book, I could not put down and I was hooked from the first page to the last. It took me on a wild ride and never knew where to look for the who done it. I really enjoyed the characters and all the secret and lies involved with them. If you want to read a great mystery suspense then definitely add this one to your book list! I haven’t read her previous book Stranger on Beach but have now added it to my tbr list! The Wife Who Knew Too Much will be out late July so be looking for it! I give this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

The Shadows by Alex North- Book Review

Thank you to #partner @celadonbooks for gifting me this book. Let me start by saying this book is creepy, sinister and murderous all rolled into one. I can’t just pick one word to describe this one because I don’t think one word would do it justice. This book started with a bang on page one and continued with so many great and atmospheric twist and turns along the way. The build up was a little slow but so intense that it was hard for me to put down. It’s definitely a book that you are going to want to read with the lights on at night. This book will be published July 7th and I highly recommend it! I give this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Jar of Hearts by Jennifer Hillier- Book Review

I’m late to the game on this one but definitely better late then never. This is a 5⭐ read for me! It was the perfect mystery/suspense/thrill that I wanted. The story was intriguing and the characters were both flawed and real. This book is so we’ll written, the storyline never slowed down, it was powerful and hits you hard from the beginning to the end. Bookstagram made me read this one because I was seeing it every where and I’m so glad I read it. I have been craving the rawness and darkness of a good thriller and this was it. This really is the perfect mystery thriller and it’s an absolute must read!
