Throwback Thursday

It’s Thursday so I’m doing a #throwback to this book which I’m also rereading. I remember reading these books in middle school and being so freaked out. I’m not ashamed to say that now in my 30s, some of these stories still give me the creeps. Did you read these is school? If so which one do you remember scared you the most?

A few of my favorites:
– The Hook
– The White Evening Gown
– The Babysitter

The Last Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine – Book Review

I read this book at the beginning of the year and I devoured this book within two days because I couldn’t put this book down. I loved this book and the ending was so satisfying that I couldn’t stop thinking about for days after I read it. This book is written in two parts, the first part is written from the point of Amber and the second part is written form the point of Daphne. The story is filled with so many secrets and every turn you find out more and more details that continue to hook you into the story. Plus, this book is a perfect summer read, I mean just look at that cover. I give this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. If you haven’t read this book than I urge you to go out and buy it or check it out at your local library.

Synopsis:

Amber Patterson is fed up. She’s tired of being a nobody: a plain, invisible woman who blends into the background. She deserves more—a life of money and power like the one blond-haired, blue-eyed goddess Daphne Parrish takes for granted. To everyone in the exclusive town of Bishops Harbor, Connecticut, Daphne—a socialite and philanthropist—and her real-estate mogul husband, Jackson, are a couple straight out of a fairy tale. Amber’s envy could eat her alive . . . if she didn’t have a plan. Amber uses Daphne’s compassion and caring to insinuate herself into the family’s life—the first step in a meticulous scheme to undermine her. Before long, Amber is Daphne’s closest confidante, traveling to Europe with the Parrishes and their lovely young daughters, and growing closer to Jackson. But a skeleton from her past may undermine everything that Amber has worked towards, and if it is discovered, her well-laid plan may fall to pieces.
